Devil's Night
Devil's Night is Detroit hip hop group
D12's debut album, released on June 19, 2001 and
executive produced by Eminem. The album's title comes
from the Devil's Night tradition, recognized in and
around Detroit. The album produced two singles: "Purple
Pills" and "Fight Music." Likely owing to the presence
of superstar rapper Eminem in the group, the album sold
well, reaching double platinum status. The album
featured a hidden track by Eminem called "Girls", which
is a diss track aimed at Limp Bizkit, DJ Lethal, Dilated
Peoples and Everlast. It has also been speculated that
American Psycho was targeted at Psychopathic Records
given Eminem had a notorious beef with Insane Clown
Posse around that time, which was followed by a
long-standing beef between the rest of D12, chiefly
Proof, and Esham. It was followed by the band's second
album D12 World in 2004.
